We optimize ourselves first. Here's the data.

ArcSurf publishes its own AI visibility results — ArcSurf Score, Citation Hit Rate, prompt matrix outcomes — updated every cycle. This is the GEO Blueprint running on a real site: ours.

The experiment

We apply our full GEO methodology to arcsurf.ai and measure the results the same way we measure client sites: structured prompt matrices tested across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overview.

Every metric on this page is generated from real queries, on real platforms, on real dates. Nothing is simulated. When we say "cited," we mean the AI engine returned a response that references arcsurf.ai by name or URL.

This page serves two purposes: it holds us accountable, and it lets you evaluate our methodology before spending a dollar.

What we optimized and why

Content engineering

  • Golden 200 tokens. Every page opens with a self-contained, citation-ready summary in the first ~200 tokens — the window most LLMs use when deciding whether to cite a source.
  • Wiki-voice authority. Content uses neutral, authoritative, third-person phrasing — the register that retrieval-augmented generation systems prefer to quote.
  • Semantic self-containment. Each section answers a complete question so it can be extracted by an AI engine without needing surrounding context.
  • Markdown tables and structured data. Key facts are formatted as tables and lists — formats LLMs parse more reliably than prose paragraphs.

Technical deployment

  • JSON-LD schema on every page. Structured data (Organization, Service, FAQPage, Dataset) gives AI crawlers machine-readable context about every page's purpose.
  • llms.txt and llms-full.txt. A dedicated manifest that tells AI crawlers what this site is, what pages matter, and how to cite them.
  • Semantic HTML5. Proper heading hierarchy, <section>, <article>, and <table> elements — no div soup. Clean DOM helps parsers extract meaning.
  • AI crawler access. robots.txt explicitly allows GPTBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot, and other AI user agents to crawl the site.

Client case studies

Currently in progress: GEO Sprint with a crypto market maker and quantitative trading firm. We are running the full GEO Blueprint — content engineering, technical optimization, and prompt matrix testing — for a client in the digital assets space. Results will be published here (with permission) after the engagement concludes.

Until client results are ready, this page is the proof. We apply the same methodology to our own site, measure with the same tools, and publish everything — including the queries where we don't get cited.

How we measure this

ArcSurf Matrix. A grid of queries tested across multiple AI platforms (currently ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overview). Each cell records whether the site was cited, ranked as the #1 source, or not mentioned. The matrix is re-run every 4–6 weeks.

ArcSurf Score. A composite metric (0–100) derived from the matrix. It weights citation presence, source ranking, and platform breadth into a single number you can track over time.

Citation Hit Rate. The percentage of tested queries where the site appears as a cited source in the AI response. A Citation Hit Rate of 60% means the site is cited in 6 out of 10 tested queries.

Top Source Rate. The percentage of cited queries where the site appears as the #1 or primary source. This measures not just visibility but authority — whether the AI engine treats you as the go-to reference.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't you have client case studies yet?

Client engagements are in progress. Rather than wait, we publish our own data so you can evaluate the methodology on a live site — ours. Client results will be added here as engagements conclude and clients grant permission.

Are these results cherry-picked?

No. The prompt matrix tests every query across every platform. We publish all results, including queries where we are not cited. The full matrix is on this page — you can count the misses yourself.

How often is this data updated?

Every 4–6 weeks. AI platform results shift as models update, so we re-run the full matrix on a regular cycle and publish the new numbers alongside previous cycles for comparison.

Can I get the same data for my domain?

Yes. The free GEO Audit runs the same prompt matrix methodology on your site. You get your ArcSurf Score, Citation Hit Rate, competitor benchmarks, and an action plan — at no cost.
